Robin Wright in talks for Blade Runner 2

March 31, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Variety is reporting that Robin Wright is in talks with Alcon Entertainment about joining the cast of the upcoming Blade Runner sequel, with the House of Cards star set for a major role in the follow-up to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic – although it’s unclear whether she will be portraying a human character or a replicant.

The as-yet-untitled Blade Runner 2 will see Harrison Ford returning as Rick Deckard, while he’ll be joined in the cast by Ryan Gosling. Denis Villeneuve (Sicario) is directing, from a script by Hampton Fancher (co-writer of the original movie) and Michael Green (Green Lantern). Fancher has crafted the story with Ridley Scott, who will serve as executive producer.
