One of the several criticisms aimed towards Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was the film’s dour, gloomy tone, and it seems that Warner Bros. may have taken note, as a rumour from Birth.Movies.Death is suggesting that reshoots are underway on Suicide Squad to inject more humour into the DC supervillain ensemble.
Now, reshoots on big blockbusters are nothing out of the ordinary (in fact, it’s the norm), so it’s certainly not a surprise that Suicide Squad would follow suit. However, according to the site, the latest trailer featured “every joke in the movie”, and so the focus of these – which are described as “tens of millions of dollars big” – is to lighten up the tone with more fun character moments and interactions.
