It looks like director Rick Famuyiwa may be set for a reunion with Dope star Kiersey Clemons, as Variety is reporting that the actress has emerged as the front-runner to play Iris West in DC Film’s upcoming solo movie The Flash.
In addition to Clemons, Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter is suggesting that Lucy Boynton (Sing Street) and singer Rita Ora (Southpaw) are also in contention for the role. However, it’s thought that Clemons is Famuyiwa’s top pick, and likely to nab the female lead in the film alongside Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen.
The Flash is expected to go into production later this year ahead of a release in 2018.
