The animated movie Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders received its world premiere at New York Comic Con yesterday, following which it was announced that the Batman ’66 movie will be receiving a sequel in 2017 entitled Batman vs. Two-Face, with William Shatner set to lend his voice to Harvey Dent. BATMAN: RETURN OF THE CAPED CRUSADERS is getting a sequel, featuring one villain who’s a double dose of evil…and you’ll never guess who’s playing him! #DCNYCC

Two-Face never actually appeared in the Batman TV series, although a script was produced for an episode which would have included the character, with Clint Eastwood in line to take on the role.

It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by Batman’s most-evil opponents – The Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. The four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City.

Rick Morales (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Cosmic Clash) is directing Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders from a script by Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!) and James Tucker (Justice League vs. Teen Titans), with the movie featuring the return of Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin) and Julie Newmar (Catwoman). It will receive a one night only theatrical release in North America on October 10th and in the UK on October 17th.
