Wolverine 3 now titled Logan and won’t be a “city-block destroying, CG f***athon”

We’ve heard several rumours for the title of Wolverine 3 from Weapon X to The Death of Logan, but the film’s director and star have taken to Twitter to share a new poster for the movie which confirms the title as Logan.

Mangold also shared an image of the second page of the script, which backs up Simon Kinberg’s earlier claim of the movie being R-rated. It’s also interesting to note that the script reads, “if you on the make for a hyper choreographed, gravity defying, city-block destroying, CG fuckathon, this ain’t your movie.”

“In this flick, people will get hurt or killed if shit falls on them,” it adds. “They will get just as hurt or just as killed if they get hit with something big and heavy like say a car. Should anyone in our story have the misfortune to fall off a roof or out a window, they won’t bounce. They will die.”

Furthermore, the script seems to suggest the rumours of adapting Old Man Logan are true saying, “As for our hero, well, he’s older now and it’s clear his abilities aren’t what they once were. He’s fading on the inside and his diminished healing factor keeps him in a constant state of chronic pain – hence booze as a pain killer.”

Logan is being helmed by The Wolverine director James Mangold and will see Hugh Jackman joined in the cast by Patrick Stewart as Professor X, along with new additions Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Elise Neal. It is set for release on March 3rd, 2017.
