Patrick Wilson to play Ocean Master in Aquaman

December 12, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Originally published December 12, 2016. Updated April 16, 2018.

Having portrayed Nite Owl in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, Patrick Wilson is set for a return to the DC universe, although this time he’ll be playing a supervillain.

Deadline is reporting that Wilson has signed on to James Wan’s Aquaman movie, and will be playing the character of Orm, a.k.a Ocean Master, half brother to Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry, a rival to the throne of Atlantis.

It was rumoured back in August that the Aquaman movie would see Black Manta as the main villain, so it remains to be seen whether Ocean Master will have some company in the film, or if the original report was just another wild guess from El Mayimbe.

Aquaman is set for release on October 5th, 2018, and also stars Amber Heard as Mera, and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.
