Former Lois Lane Teri Hatcher joins Supergirl as season 2 villain

January 31, 2017 by James Garcia

Supergirl has already featured several alumni from past DC film and television adaptations, including Smallville‘s Laura Vandervoort, former Supergirl actress Helen Slater, former Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter, and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star Dean Cain. Now, it’s brought that show’s Lois, Teri Hatcher, into the fold.

Hatcher has signed on for a multi-episode arc in Supergirl‘s current second season. She’ll take on an as-yet unidentified role, but will be playing the “major” new villain of the season. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg released this statement to go along with the news:

“No offense to any of the wonderful actresses who have also played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all-time favorite Lois Lane. To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, Greg Berlanti, and the fans.”

We’ll have more news on Hatcher’s casting as it becomes available. In the meantime, you can check out Supergirl on Mondays at 8 pm EST on the CW.
