Cyborg confirmed as the third Mother Box in Justice League

February 8, 2017 by Robert Kojder

According to the latest issue of Total Film (via ScreenCrush), it is being reported that Cyborg himself is the third Mother Box in the DC Extended Universe.

For those very confused right now, Justice League villain Steppenwolf (on behalf of even bigger baddie Darkseid) will apparently be on the search for the three ultra-powerful Mother Boxes (one from the Atlanteans, another with the Amazons, and the third from humans).

To see the strength of the Mother Boxes at work, all one has to do is pop on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and skip to the Cyborg cameo, as that is what is giving him superpowers.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League will reunite Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta alongside J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) as Mera, Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Vulko, Kiersey Clemons (Dope) as Iris West, Ciaran Hinds (Game of Thrones) as Steppenwolf and Julian Lewis Jones (Stella) in an as-yet-unrevealed role. It is set for release on November 17th 2017.
