Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull on Man of Steel: “It’s the Superman movie I’ve always wanted to see”

This morning we got our first TV spot for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in preparation for the upcoming second trailer, and in an interview with Collider promoting 42, Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull has been full of praise for the movie.

“It’s the Superman movie I’ve always wanted to see” he said. ” I think the job that Zack Snyder did along with Christopher Nolan – I think that people are going to be very, very excited about the results. The acting, on top of all the incredible action – Kevin Costner playing Jonathan Kent, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, just the cast, and I think the job Henry Cavill did, people are going to really be excited about it. It was a privilege to be a part of and Warner Brothers does a phenomenal job of bringing these things to life, Batman and Superman, and it really is a privilege for us to be a part of.”

The interviewer also asked about ‘Superman being Superman’ and whether we will see him punch anyone in the face to which Tull ducked with: “I can tell you that I think you’re going to enjoy the movie very, very much.”

Man of Steel is released on June 14th with Henry Cavill as Superman, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Lawrence Fishburne as Perry White, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
