Following the rumour that Darth Vader will be set to cameo in Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, we’re getting new reports that other Original Trilogy and Prequel Trilogy characters will be showing up in the first spin-off movie.
Bloody-Disgusting are claiming that the movie will feature loads of Bounty Hunters, many of which were seen in The Empire Strikes Back, who will act as the hired hands to get back the plans for the Death Star.
“Ben Mendelsohn’s new Moff character is indeed the big baddie of Rogue One,” the website claims. “The other main villains of the piece are bounty hunters hired by the Moff to quietly retrieve the stolen Death Star plans at all costs. Vader factors in once he realizes that the plans have been stolen, so he joins the hunt in a supporting role and is none too pleased. These bounty hunters include Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss & 4LOM, IG-88, and Cad Bane, who is from ‘Clone Wars’ and is making his live action debut. There might some new ones as well, but that’s the core group. So Fett will absolutely appear on screen again in a semi-main role before his solo film.”
Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One is set for release on December 16th, 2016 and will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) with a cast that includes Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler), Diego Luna (Elysium), Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises) and Forest Whitaker (Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai).
