Robert Downey Jr. says Sherlock Holmes 3 could shoot this year

It’s been five years since the second outing, but out and about on the press tour for Captain America: Civil War, Robert Downey Jr. has revealed that Sherlock Holmes 3 could shoot this year.

“I know Guy Ritchie loves me as much as I love him – and he damn well should,” Downey tells Shortlist. “When we’re making those Sherlock movies it is off the hook. We’ll attempt to make one this year. It really is a big deal to go and do those movies. I’m tired all the time, but I’m excited about it.”

Richie is currently working on Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, which is intended as the first of a six film series. However, he is yet to reveal his next project, so Sherlock Holmes 3 could certainly be a possibility…
