Rumour: More “evidence” that Yoda will be in Star Wars: Episode VIII

September 1, 2016 by admin

Earlier in the year we might be seeing Master Yoda in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII after reports that Frank Oz was in London to work, and the Skelig Michael Island recreation had been set up to allow puppetry. Well, some new “evidence” has emerged that might confirm it further.

A Reddit poster named Skywalkergal (via ComicBook) claims she overheard a conversation at Star Wars Celebration between the people at the Saving Yoda booth.

“One of the many stalls featured at the convention was Saving Yoda, ran by one of the original team operating Yoda in [The Empire Strikes Back],” she wrote. “While waiting to have my photo taken with the Yoda puppet, the dude running it was talking to another guy. The random guy asked which Yoda puppet was currently on display. In response, we were all told that the one on display was puppet 2 (I think, I can’t quite remember exactly). He looked at both of us, and said that members of the original Yoda team have been called in to work on Episode VIII, using the Yoda 8 puppet, as they’d all recently been talking about it. He’d have no reason to lie.”

Well, this guy might not have a reason to lie, but you certainly have.

No real evidence on show here, but something to keep in mind given the report from earlier this year.
