Abbie Cornish set for female lead in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan TV series

Deadline is reporting that Abbie Cornish (Sucker Punch, Limitless) has nabbed the female lead in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, the upcoming Amazon series from Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Graham Roland (Fringe).

Jack Ryan stars John Krasinski (The Office, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi) as Clancy’s CIA analyst, who finds himself on field assignment for the first time, uncovering a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.”

Cornish is set to play Cathy Mueller, “a doctor specializing in infectious diseases [who] is intelligent, competitive, a rising star in the medical world and Jack’s love interest.”
