Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig set for Everything Is Coming Up Profits

December 20, 2016 by Amie Cranswick

Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig are teaming up for a musical based upon Steve Young and Sport Murphy’s nonfiction book Everything Is Coming Up Profits: The Golden Age of Industrial Musicals, THR is reporting.

The project is being spearheaded by producer Marc Platt (Wicked, La La Land), and has Steven Levenson (Masters of Sex) on board to write the script, with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Broadway’s Hairspray) penning the music.

Everything Is Coming Up Profits explores the world of corporate musical motivational videos, popular with America’s top companies from the 1950s through to the 1980s, and were often lavishly-produced, with top tier talent.
