Although it didn’t have a great domestic theatrical run, Duncan Jones’ Warcraft was a huge success overseas and became the most successful video game movie ever made. We did hear word late last year that a sequel was in development solely designed for the Chinese market, but now the director has thrown some shade on those discussions.
When asked on Twitter if a sequel was getting made, Jones simply replied, “Id love it to happen! Waiting to hear from [the studio].

He then retweeted praise from fans of the film, presumably in the hopes to get a sequel off the ground.
Jones did share some frustrations from making the film, saying it was killed by “death of 1,000 cuts” in a response to the amount that was cut out.
