Netflix is reportedly developing a Choose Your Own Adventure show

March 8, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Streaming giants Netflix are reportedly working on and developing a ‘choose your own adventure’ show to add to their 2017 slate.

Netflix have certainly been forward thinking with their approach to TV content, leading the way in online streaming of high profile shows while developing their own original content.

This entrepreneurship doesn’t seem to be going anywhere as they are now reportedly developing new shows where audiences can have some say in how their viewing experiences turn out.

Sounding a little like the choice based adventures of Telltale Games, according to The Daily Mail these proposed shows will have actors film multiple versions of different scenes in order to allow audiences to have an element of choice in how the shows play out.

According to the Daily Mail’s source, the options would allow viewers to watch “infinite” shows.

Reed Hastings, Netflix’s president, confirmed to The Daily Mail that they are indeed working on making shows interactive, but didn’t go into further detail.

Apparently the shows will originally be aimed at children; Netflix will then look to expand the format to further programming.
