The Flash season 4 won’t feature a speedster as the main villain

March 20, 2017 by Gary Collinson

If you’re starting to get a little sick of speedsters as the main villains in each season of The Flash after Reverse-Flash, Zoom and Savitar, then you will be glad to here that the producers plan to shake things up in season four.

“Next season, we’re not going to have a speedster as the main bad guy,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg at The CW’s DC Comics TV panel at PaleyFest on Saturday (via THR). “With Savitar, we know who he is, and we’ve been planning this for a while. The first two seasons were about having fun with his powers, and this season for Barry [Grant Gustin] is really about the pitfalls of having powers, and that’s the story we wanted to tell. That’s why Savitar was the perfect villain for that story.”
