Kingsman 2 trailer, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 spoilers, Marvel praises Batgirl and more – Daily News Roundup

April 19, 2017 by Luke Owen

MANNERS MAKETH THE MAN

After releasing some new images of Taron Egerton and Channing Tatum, 20th Century Fox released a teaser for Kingsman: The Golden Circle. It’s only 15 seconds though, so blink and you’ll miss it! There’s also an official synopsis, which you can read here along with the trailer.

BATGIRL? AWESOME.

It took a few people by surprise when it was announced that former The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon was set to helm a Batgirl movie for DC, but someone who thinks it’s a great idea is Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige. “He did call a couple months ago to tell me about it,” Feige said. “He didn’t have to call but I appreciated that he did. I think a Joss Whedon Batgirl would be awesome.” Read more here.

MUMMY SPOTS

Universal released a new TV spot for The Mummy, which is set to kickstart their Monsterverse featuring Creature from the Black Lagoon, Bride of Frankenstein, Van Helsing and The Wolfman (so far). Watch the TV spot here.

DEADPOOL 2 CONCEPT ART

It was announced last week that Thanos himself Josh Brolin would be playing Cable in the upcoming Deadpool 2, and the Merc with a Mouth co-creator Rob Liefeld has drawn up his concept of Brolin in the role. Surprisingly, he’s not full of muscles. Check it out here.

HOMECOMING ART

It may not be the super technologically advanced Stark suit (that will no doubt see most of the action), but Marvel Collector Corps have unveiled a new piece of promotional artwork for this summer’s highly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming showing off the look of Peter Parker’s homemade costume. Take a look here.

SPOILERS OF THE GALAXY

There has been a lot of speculation about Sylvester Stallone’s role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and now that the film has been screened for press in the States, we now know the answer. We won’t post it here, but you can find out more here.
