Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 certainly upped the ante when it comes to post-credits sequences with five in all, but it turns out we could have had a sixth as James Gunn has revealed to USA Today that he shot an additional scene featuring Steve Agee’s ravager character Gef.
The scene would have featured Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) are conversing and suddenly hear screaming from Gef, who had been injured by Yondu’s arrow earlier in the film, with Gunn stating that: “We realize that Gef has been on the ship the entire time mortally wounded. It ended up being a little confusing.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is out now and sees director James Gunn reuniting with returning cast members Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Glenn Close (Nova Prime), Sean Gunn (Kraglin) and Laura Haddock (Meredith Quill) alongside new additions Pom Klementieff (Oldboy) as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) as Ayesha, Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight) as Ego the Living Planet, Chris Sullivan (The Drop) as Taserface, Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) as Tullk and Sylvester Stallone (Creed) as Stakar.
