Season 2 of Stranger Things will be “more horror oriented”, says series stars

May 3, 2017 by Jordan Jones

Stranger Things was a breakout hit for Netflix last summer, proving that the streaming service is the go-to place for experimental television. The show already has a huge cult-following, and a second season was green-lit before the first season even premiered. So, what will a second season of Stranger Things be like? According series stars Galen Matarazzo (Dustin), and Finn Wolfhard (Mike) the second season is going to top the first, and will be much scarier:

“The great thing about this season is you get to see insights into each character on their own,” said Matarazzo. “You’re going to see a lot more into the lives of how the characters are coping with what’s been going on… I think they’re all very emotionally scarred. They feel alone because their best friend [Will] is back and he’s not acting like their best friend anymore. He’s changed.”

“There are going to be some challenges that the characters face that are real. That are disturbing,” added Wolfhard. “I think this season will be a lot more dark. A lot more horror oriented. I think people are going to like it more than the first season.”

It will hit Netflix this Halloween.
