Dean Cain wants a Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman revival

June 22, 2017 by Jordan Jones

Back in 1993, the only on screen version of Superman to be found was on Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The show wasn’t heavy on action, and focused primarily on the relationship between Superman, Lois Lane, and of course Superman’s alter-ego Clark Kent. The show had a good run; it was a hit with a wide demographic, and its final season ran in 1997.

Since then, we haven’t heard much from Lois and Clark star Dean Cain. He was a host on Ripley’s Believe it or Not for a while, but his career definitely mellowed out a little after playing Superman for four seasons. Well, it looks like Dean Cain has resurfaced after several years, and after returning to the DC universe with a guest role in Supergirl, it seems he is now up for donning the cape on more time. Speaking to Australia’s 7 News Sydney, the actor revealed that he would love to play the Man of Steel again in a Lois & Clark reunion:

“Well, you know what, we ended our show after four seasons in a weird way because we’re supposed to do a fifth season. Teri [Hatcher] got pregnant in between and couldn’t work on that fifth season so they decided to shut it down. I would have liked to done that fifth season, I think we still need a fifth season, we need something, at least part of a fifth season. So I’m hoping that we get a chance to maybe finish up the series.”

What do you think? Would you like to see Dean Cain as Superman one more time? Or do we already have too many Super-men on screen at the moment? Let us know in the comments below!
