The Russos, Noah Hawley and Robert Kirkman teaming for The Mastermind

July 16, 2017 by Amie Cranswick

Variety is reporting that FX has assembled a dream team of Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War), Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion) and Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Outcast) to develop a new crime drama entitled The Mastermind.

Based on the investigative stories of Atavist Magazine co-founder and CEO Evan Ratliff, the series will revolve around the true story of Paul Le Roux, a computer programmer and criminal cartel boss who became a DEA informant.

The Russos are set to direct the entire series, in addition to executive producing with Hawley’s 26 Keys banner and Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment. It’s unclear when the series will move ahead, given that the Russos have just begun shooting Avengers 4, and will likely be tied up with the two Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbusters until well into the New Year.
