September 24, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Shameless actress Emma Kenney has landed a key role in the upcoming Roseanne revival, having signed on to portray the daughter of Darlene (Sara Gilbert) and David (Johnny Galecki).

The eight-episode revival of the beloved sitcom will feature the return of Roseanne Barr (Roseanne Conner), John Goodman (Dan Conner), Michael Fishman (DJ Conner), Lecy Goranson (Becky Conner) and Laurie Metcalf (Jackie Harris), as well as Sarah Chalke, who will be taking on the role of a new character.

Production on the new season of Roseanne is set to get underway in October ahead of a midseason premiere on ABC in 2018. Meanwhile, Kenney will return as Debbie Gallagher for the eighth season of Shameless this November.
