Anna Paquin believes a Gifted cameo would be “distracting”

October 25, 2017 by Samuel Brace

X-Men’s Anna Paquin thinks that a cameo in The Gifted would be a “distraction”.

One of the original stars of the film franchise, portraying Rogue back in 2000’s X-Men and a number of subsequent features, Anna Paquin has revealed her thoughts on a cameo appearance in the latest X-Men themed TV series The Gifted.

The Gifted stars her husband and former True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer, and Paquin has been asked about the potential of appearing alongside him in the series.

Speaking to CinemaBlend about her Netflix miniseries Alias Grace, she came out as being against the idea:

“I feel like that would be distracting, honestly. I mean, look, who knows? But I feel like that’s one of those things that probably takes people out of the story in a weird way. If I was the creative force behind it, I’m not sure I would want to splice True Blood married people with different X-Men families. I feel like that might be a little schticky.”
