Rumour: Silk could appear in Avengers: Infinity War

October 5, 2017 by Gary Collinson

It looks like Avengers: Infinity War may be set to add yet another hero to its enormous roster, with rumours surfacing that the character of Cindy Moon – a.k.a. Silk – could be set to feature in next year’s Marvel superhero blockbuster.

The rumour began with a tweet from the IMDb, asking “Does the name Cindy Moon mean anything to you?”, complete with the Avengers: Infinity War logo, complete with a link to actress Tiffany Espensen, who just so happened to portray the character of Cindy in Spider-Man: Homecoming…

— IMDb (@IMDb) October 3, 2017

This of course could be pure speculation on the IMDb’s part, but interestingly the tweet was retweeted by comic book writer Robbie Thompson, known for his tweet on Marvel’s Silk series.

Silk was created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos and made her debut in the Marvel NOW! relaunch of The Amazing Spider-Man in 2014, quickly becoming a fan favourite.

Would you like to see Silk making her debut in Avengers: Infinity War? Is there room for one more hero? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Avengers: Infinity War opens on April 27th 2018 in the UK and May 4th 2018 in the US and will feature an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Paul Bettany (Vision), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Benedict Wong (Wong), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Sean Gunn (Rocket, Kraglin), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Samuel L.
