Anime beat ’em up Closers enters closed beta

November 9, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Seattle based publisher En Masse Entertainment has announced that their episodic anime beat ‘em up Closers, has entered the closed beta stage in Europe and North America.  Following the successful alpha testing of the game, En Masse have made it possible for all fans to play by purchasing a Founder’s Pack which is available now via the En Masse Entertainment Store.

In Closers a series of mysterious portals have opened up throughout the city of New Seoul allowing hordes of bloodthirsty interdimensional aliens to come through and wreak havoc.  UNION is the only organisation that has the people with the skills and abilities necessary to deal with this threat and that is where the player comes in.

When Closers is launched players will be able to choose from five different characters with unique skills and abilities.  These characters are reluctant combat genius, Seha; Sylvi, the leader; Yuri, the skilled martial artist; Misteltein, a young boy with support skills and J, the grizzled veteran.  Thanks to the game’s branching narrative players will be able to upgrade the skills and weapons of their character as they advance through their mission.

During the closed beta En Masse will be holding a series of in-game events between 7th November and 5th December that all beta participants can take part in.  By simply logging in each day players will be rewarded with a variety of increasingly valuable items leading up to the grand reward, a permanent Lucky Chick Pet Egg.  From the 11th November logging in at weekends will reward players with a useful consumable item at regular intervals for the first two hours of playing on each day.
