David Lynch won’t say never to a new season of Twin Peaks

November 23, 2017 by Samuel Brace

David Lynch will “never say never” to another return to Twin Peaks.

Twin Peaks: The Return was pure Lynch and the 18 episodes – directed entirely by him – were more than enough for fans of the classic series to wrap their heads around.

Twenty six years had passed since the original series ended, but audiences were able to slot straight back in with a number of their favourite characters, as more unusual and creepy events started to take place.

The new season ended on a cliff hanger, leaving fans without a clear cut resolution (surprise, surprise) and eager to find out just what will be next for Dale Cooper.

There have been no announced plans for another season, but Lynch has told The Hollywood Reporter that he wouldn’t rule it out.

When asked about a possibility of yet another return to the series, Lynch responded:

“I don’t know. It’s too early to say that right now” and that “I’ve learned to never say never”.

So, not exactly the yes that many fans would have hoped for but it’s surely better than nothing, and at the very least something to cling on to in the years to come.
