Well, this won’t come as a surprise, but some two weeks out from its release we now have official confirmation that Marvel’s hotly-anticipated superhero epic has been rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America.
The MPAA granted the rating based on “intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, language and some crude references.”
Here in the UK, the BBFC is yet to announce its classification for Infinity War, but it will presumably be rated 12, as with The Avengers, Avengers Assemble and the majority of Marvel Studios’ releases.
UPDATE: The BBFC has now confirmed Infinity War as a 12A certificate, for “moderate violence and threat”.
