Dave Filoni says its “hard” to think about other people working with characters from Star Wars Rebels

August 9, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Dave Filoni, creator of Star Wars Rebels, has admitted that it’s a challenging notion that other people might one day work with characters from the show.

Now that Star Wars Rebels has come to an end, creator Dave Filoni has moved on to other projects like Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The characters he created for Rebels, however, have quickly become fan favourites, with it being possible that some will live on in other mediums and projects.

Filoni has admitted to ComicBook.com that it’s hard for him to think about other people working with these characters that are so precious to him: “That would be hard. That would be, to be honest. That’d be really hard for me to do at this point, just because I’ve been a part of it for so long. Since, especially, Ahsoka’s beginning. I can’t imagine not being involved in some way with what would happen to her. Or Sabine, for that matter.”

Would you like to see characters like Ahsoka, Sabine, and other Rebels characters crop up in future Star Wars films, shows, and books? Or do you think Lucasfilm should concentrate on creating new characters?
