Veronica Mars making another comeback on Hulu

August 22, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

Having already been resurrected in the form of a Kickstarter funded movie in 2014, Rob Thomas’ cult noir Veronica Mars is getting another mystery to solve with an 8-episode limited series run on Hulu.

With a passionate fan base, matched only by the enthusiasm of its leading lady, Kristen Bell, who only last year said “We are willing to put the effort in — I mean, if I have to do it as Murder She Wrote at 80, we’re going to do it. It’s going to happen.” Veronica Mars will hopefully fare better in the episodic form than it did as a feature film.

Running for three seasons between 2004-2007, the show was a combination of high school drama and modern noir, all anchored by a brilliant Bell, displaying the kind of quick wit and self-deprecation that has made her a household name with NBC’s The Good Place, which Deadline say will not be affected by the Veronica Mars announcement.

Are you excited for a return to Neptune, California, or has too much dust gathered on those case files for you to care about the further adventures of Weevil, Wallace, or Logan? Let us know what you think in the comments…
