Peter Dinklage discusses Tyrion’s fate in Game of Thrones’ final season

October 16, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, has teased a dark end for his character.

The long and arduous wait for the final ever season of Game of Thrones continues and will do so for a long time yet. In the meantime, many fans are, of course, discussing just what might happen to all of their favourite characters.

Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion is certainly much beloved but how will things end for everyone’s favourite dwarf? Well, according to the actor himself, we shouldn’t rule out something quite dark. Speaking to Vulture, Dinklage discussed where Tyrion is at when the show ends:

“I feel very, very — I’m trying to find the right word. I think he was given a very good conclusion. No matter what that is – death can be a great way out.”

Dinklage isn’t confirming Tyrion’s death here but is certainly not taking it off the table. We will have to wait and see how it all pans out. Do you think death would be a fitting end for Tyrion?
