Henry Cavill applauds Aquaman and congratulates Jason Momoa

January 3, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Superman actor Henry Cavill has congratulated those involved with Aquaman, praising the film and star Jason Momoa.

While Henry Cavill’s future as Superman is unclear, he seems to have really enjoyed his time with Jason Momoa when filming Justice League. Cavill has taken to social media to congratulate Momoa on Aquaman, praising the film in the process.

Posting on Instagram, along with a photo of his best Aquaman impression, Cavill said: “Channeling the man of the hour, the man of big hugs, big laughs and big pints of Guinness, my man Jason Momoa. How’d I do?

“Seriously though, I just finally got the chance to watch Aquaman here in Hungary. Jason, James and everyone involved in that movie, smashes it out of the (water)park. If you haven’t seen it yet, go check it out. Jason, love you bro, you crushed it.”

Cavill doesn’t seem to be the only one enjoying the film that’s for sure, with Aquaman going from strength to strength at the box office, particularly in international territories where it has become one of DC’s most successful movies of all time.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman”, starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime — one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be … a king.”

Aquaman is directed by James Wan (The Conjuring) and stars Jason Momoa as the titular hero, reprising his role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, along with Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Dr. Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Ludi Lin as Murk, Michael Beach as Jesse Kane, Djimon Hounsou as the Fisherman King, Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin, Otis Dhanji as a young Arthur Curry, Julie Andrews as Karathen and Graham McTavish as King Atlan.
