Rumour: Another deceased character returning in Avengers: Endgame

January 30, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Warning: Potential (minor) spoilers for Avengers: Endgame follows…

While it’s widely assumed that most – if not all – of the fallen heroes from last year’s Avengers: Infinity War will have returned by the time the end credits roll on April’s Avengers: Endgame, it isn’t just the victims of Thanos who are going to be back for the hugely-anticipated superhero event movie.

It’s already been confirmed that two deceased MCU characters – Tilda Swinton’s The Ancient One and Frank Grillo’s Crossbones – are set to make appearances in Endgame, and now if a rumour from Revenge of the Fans is to be believed, we can add a third name to that list in Rene Russo’s Frigga.

Frigga, the mother of Thor and Loki, was last seen in Thor: The Dark World, where she was killed off by Christopher Eccleston’s Malekith the Accursed. According to the site, she’ll make an appearance in Endgame, although there are no details as to how she’ll appear, or what her role in the story may be.

Meanwhile, the outlet is also suggesting that the Russos have thrown another Community cameo into the movie, with Ken Jeong apparently set to follow in the footsteps of Danny Pudi (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and Jim Rash (Captain America: Civil War).
