Star Trek: Picard series adds Evan Evagora

March 16, 2019 by Gary Collinson

The cast of CBS All Access’ upcoming Star Trek series Picard continues to come together, with Deadline reporting that young Australian actor Evan Evagora (Fantasy Island) has been cast alongside Patrick Stewart in the upcoming Star Trek: The Next Generation spinoff sequel.

Details on Evagora’s role are being kept under wraps for the time being, but he joins fellow new additions Santiago Cabera (Salvation) and Michelle Hurd (Blindspot) in the series, which picks up some twenty years after the end of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Specific plot details for the as-yet-untitled show are being kept under wraps, but we do know that it will take place following the destruction of Romulus (as seen in 2009’s Star Trek), meaning that it will take place further into the future of the Trek universe than anything we’ve seen to date.

Filming on the Picard series is set to get underway soon ahead of an expected premiere late this year.
