Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs join the new Scooby-Doo animated film

Mark Wahlberg (Ted) and Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) are the recent additions to Warner Bros. upcoming animated Scooby-Doo movie Scoob.

Via Deadline, Wahlberg will portray Blue Falcon, a superhero who has teamed up with Mystery Inc. to stop the criminal, Mr. Hyde. Isaacs meanwhile will portray the villain Dick Dastardly, who is reportedly the main antagonist in Scoob. Dastardly is a pilot who is known for is vehicles carrying bombs and traps, and his iconic catchphrase, “Muttley, do something!”

Wahlberg and Isaacs join the recently announced cast of Zac Efron (Fred), Amanda Seyfried (Daphne), Gina Rodriguez (Velma), Will Forte (Shaggy), Tracy Morgan (Captain Caveman), Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo) and Kiersey Clemons (Dee Dee Skyes).

Scoob will follow the story of how Mystery Inc. first met and began solving crimes together. The project is being helmed by Tony Cervone and produced by Chris Columbus, Allison Abbate, Richard Suckle, and Charles Roven. Additionally, the screenplay is written by Matt Lieberman and Kelly Fremon Craig.

Scoob is slated for release on May 15th 2020.
