Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans gets a new poster and trailer

June 15, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its UK theatrical release next month, Altitude Films has revealed a new poster and trailer for director Dominic Brigstocke’s upcoming historical comedy Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans which stars Sebastian Croft, Emilia Jones, Nick Frost, Craig Roberts, Kim Cattrall, Kate Nash, Rupert Graves, Alex Macqueen, and Derek Jacobi; take a look here…

Atti (Croft) is a Roman teenager with brains but very little brawn. When one of his schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero (Roberts) Atti is forced to join the army and sent to miserable, cold, wet Britain. Things go from bad to worse when Atti is captured by Orla (Jones), a feisty teenage Celt desperate to prove herself as a warrior. Meanwhile a furious Nero is determined to crush the British rebellion, led by Boudicca (Nash). As the Romans prepare for an historic showdown with the Celts at the Battle of Watling Street the two new friends find themselves lined up on opposite sides of the battlefield.

Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans is set for release on July 26th in the UK and features a cast that also includes Alexander Armstrong, Lee Mack, Warwick Davis, Lucy Montgomery, Jamie Demetriou, Tony Gardner, Kevin Bishop, Samantha Spiro, Ella Smith, Dan Renton Skinner, Dustin Demri-Burns, Tim Downie, Ncuti Gatwa, Chris Addison, Sarah Hadland, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Dave Lamb, Jessica Ransom, Tom Stourton, Dominique Moore, Richard David-Caine, Lawry Lewin, Katy Wix, and Katherine Jakeways.
