Lucasfilm and Marvel announce Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren

July 21, 2019 by Gary Collinson

During the Lucasfilm Publishing panel at the San Diego Comic-Con International, it was announced that Marvel Comics and writer Charles Soule (Darth Vader, Poe Dameron) are set to explore The Rise of Kylo Ren with a brand new four-issue miniseries.

As just announced, I am writing THE RISE OF KYLO REN – a limited series comic launching in December, just before Episode IX.

You know the one story everyone’s dying to see, about Kylo and the Knights of Ren? That’s this.

Star Wars: the Rise of Kylo Ren will presumably fill in some of the blanks surrounding Ben Solo’s fall to the Dark Side, and perhaps offer some additional insight into the Knights of Ren and perhaps even Supreme Leader Snoke as we head into the final chapter of the Skywalker Saga with December’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set for release on December 20th 2019 with J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) directing a cast that includes Star Wars veterans Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix), Greg Grunberg (Snap Wexley), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa) as well as new additions Naomi Ackie (Lady Macbeth), Richard E. Grant (Logan), Dominic Monaghan (Lost), and Keri Russell (The Americans).
