Olivia Swann upped to series regular for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 5

July 13, 2019 by Gary Collinson

It looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of Astra Logue in the next season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, with Entertainment Weekly revealing that actress Olivia Swann has been upped to a series regular for the fifth season of the comic book series.

Debuting last season, Astra was accidentally killed and damned to Hell as a child during a botched exorcism by John Constantine (Matt Ryan). Now an adult, and completely corrupted by her time in Hell, Astra ended the season by unleashing sixteen evil souls upon the world, including the likes of Charles Manson, Genghis Khan and Joseph Stalin.

“We’re so excited about having Astra back this season as our big bad,” states executive producer Keto Shimizu. “A lot of what Constantine is going to be dealing with this is season is his very complicated relationship with her and a desire to save her despite all the pain and trouble she’s putting us through.”

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 5 is set to get underway on The CW in early 2020.
