New 7 Days to Die developer video reveals the Batter Up! book series

August 22, 2019 by Andrew Newton

With the launch of 7 Days to Die Alpha 18 drawing ever closer, Joel Huenink of The Fun Pimps continues showcasing the new book series that players will be able to collect to add some variety to their playstyles.  This latest developer video looks at the Batter Up book series which provides bonuses to using bats and clubs.

Clubs have always been my preferred melee weapon in 7 Days to Die and with the new Batter Up! book series both clubs and bats are going to be much more fun to use.

Details for each of the volumes are:

  • Vol. 1 – Clubs do 10% more damage.
  • Vol. 2 – Ability to craft baseball caps and letter jackets and take 5% less damage when wearing them.
  • Vol. 3 – Ability to use power attacks on zombies legs to slow them down.  Useful against ferals.
  • Vol. 4 – An increase in chance of knocking enemy down with power attacks.
  • Vol. 5 – Both bats and clubs deteriorate 20% slower.
  • Vol. 6 – Ability to craft baseball bats.
  • Vol. 7 – Players take 10% less damage from enemies with clubs, useful for PvP games.

The collector’s perk for those determined or lucky enough to find all volumes will be rewarded with the ability to regain their stamina if they successfully kill an enemy with a power attack.

This book series looks to be a an excellent addition to Alpha 18, but what do you think? Leave a comment below or Tweet us @FMyth_Gaming.
