M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant renewed for season 2 at Apple TV+

November 25, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Servant, the Apple TV+ series from producer M. Night Shyamalan, has been renewed for a second season ahead of its 28th November season one premiere. Shyamalan revealed the news when he was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Got to announce something pretty cool on @fallontonight. Season 2 of @Servant, here we come. @appletv https://t.co/5HRLLdKWj2

— M. Night Shyamalan (@MNightShyamalan) November 23, 2019

Servant is a psychological thriller that follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home. The series stars Lauren Ambrose, Nell Tiger Free, Rupert Grint, and Toby Kebbell.

The series is currently receiving positive reactions from critics ahead of the premiere as the show holds an 89% Rotten Tomatoes score (as of writing this) with the consensus of ‘Though Servant slithering mystery often wanders into dark, crowded corners, its claustrophobic atmosphere and powerful performances build enough tension to keep viewers hooked.’

Servant was created by Tony Basgallop, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black and Steve Tisch. Taylor Latham and Patrick Markey serve as co-executive producers.
