David Harbour thinks Stranger Things season 4 will be pushed back

March 25, 2020 by Samuel Brace

David Harbour, one of the stars of Stranger Things, thinks that season four could be pushed back.

The coronavirus outbreak has impacted the production schedules of many TV shows, halting production on fan-favourites such as Stranger Things.

Season four of the Netflix series was in production and Hopper actor David Harbour thinks that it was aiming for an early 2021 release date. Now, however, he isn’t so sure this will happen.

Answering a fan on social media about the release date (via ComicBook.com), he said: “Who knows? We’re shut down now. It was supposed to come out early next year, I think, although I don’t have authority on this. And now I don’t know. That’ll probably be pushed back. Hopefully we can get back to work but I don’t know what that looks like.”

It’s almost impossible to say when production might continue. Fans are just going to have to be patient and watch old episodes in the meantime.

Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Sadie Sink as Max, Maya Hawke as Robin, Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair and Brett Gelman as Murray Bauman.
