Huge content update arrives for Graywalkers: Purgatory

Indie developer Dreamlords Digital has announced the release of a major content update for their turn-based strategy RPG Graywalkers: Purgatory.  This new update includes the arrival of new Graywalkers, more missions, new creatures and more weapons with which to kill the new creatures with.

With the latest update, players will be able to enjoy the following new content:

  • Eleven new missions taking the total missions to more than 20.  There are 3 more planned to arrive before the end of September and the developers are hoping to reach 30-40 missions by year end.
  • The addition of some new Overwatch related abilities which will affect how the player or opponents react to Overwatch.  This increases the game’s 200+ abilities already in the game.
  • Dozens more weapons added including a mix of both ranged and melee weapons.  Current weapon count in the game is about 130 melee weapons and over 290 ranged weapons.
  • New armour types, more accessories and even more consumables.
  • Exciting new locations, including he Fae enchanted ruins, abandoned train stations and Hellzones.
  • New monsters, demons, drakes, wraiths, elementals, Kapres and more to discover and kill.
  • The addition of several new Graywalkers, including the cowgirl Texas, the bounty hunting Arwendriel, the soldier Lily Darkeyes, the dhampir assassin Edge, the tracker Scout Atalanta, the teenage genius tech Niquie and the powerful Efreet blooded Faechilde Destiny.  There’s also a new air scout drone called Raptor.
  • A new vehicle has been added in, although at present it is just cosmetic.

There have also been some changes made, including:

  • Streamlining of the action unit costs of attacks and weapons.
  • Weapons have specific damage types such as Ballistic, Slashing and Piercing rather than them all being Physical.
  • Damage system for weapons has been reworked.
  • Music improvement within the game.

In Graywalkers: Purgatory Heaven and Hell has merged with the Earth causing an apocalypse known as the Rupture.  As the leader of the 36 Righteous Ones (known as Graywalkers), players must seek out the other Graywalkers and fight the hellish supernatural invaders and reclaim the Earth for humanity.

Graywalkers: Purgatory is available on Steam Early Access now with a limited time 25% discount.
