Ready Player Two plot revealed by Ernest Cline

The sequel to Ready Player One will hit bookshelves in a few weeks and now the plot has been revealed. author Ernest Cline revealed Ready Player Two‘s story in a virtual appearance with Wil Wheaton at the New York Comic Con. You can watch the panel below…

Cline appeared with Wheaton, who will narrate the Ready Player Two audio book, to chat about the original story and the feature film adaptation by Steven Spielberg and had Wheaton read out the synopsis. The plot reads:

The Ready Player One film starred Ty Sheridan as Wade Watts, Olivia Cooke Ben Mendelsohn, Lena Waithe, Simon Pegg and Mark Rylance. The film grossed $582.8 million at the box office. Though there aren’t plans yet for a sequel to be developed based off Ready Player Two, it may be likely given the film’s success.

Ready Player Two will be released on November 24th.
