80s-inspired beat ’em up Final Vendetta coming to PC and consoles this May

February 18, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Numskull Games and Bitmap Bureau (the developers behind retro-inspired classics Xeno Crisis and Battle Axe) have announced they will be releasing their new arcade beat ’em up Final Vendetta on PC and consoles this coming May.  Inspired by the iconic beat ’em up games of the 80’s and 90’s such as Double Dragon and the brilliant Final Fight, Final Vendetta features all the things we love about games from these retro loving developers.  See the new trailer below….

Final Vendetta is a side-scrolling beat ’em up that pays homage to those classics from back in the day.  It features a thrilling unique storyline and four different game modes is playable in both solo and co-op modes and comes with a dance/techno soundtrack with four exclusive tracks from 90’s dance duo, Utah Saints.

Like previous Bitmap Bureau games, Final Vendetta has beautifully animated pixel art combined with a great original soundtrack to create a modern take of a beloved genre.

“We’re thrilled to be publishing Final Vendetta, another brilliant retro-inspired title from the Bitmap Bureau team” said Martin Defries, Managing Director at Numskull Games. “It’s been twenty years since we’ve seen a game like this, combining everything we love about those 90s classics with a distinctly modern style. Beat ‘em up fans will not be disappointed.”

Final Vendetta will release digitally on PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch and Xbox and Playstation consoles.  Physical editions of the games will also release on Playstation and Nintendo Switch. A limited run of special editions will also be available and feature collectable cards, art book, stickers, posters etc.
