Netflix has delivered both good news and bad news for fans of its acclaimed supernatural drama Stranger Things, with the streamer dropping a brand new poster for the fourth season of the show, along with premiere dates – yes, dates – for the hotly-anticipated new season, which will be split into two parts releasing in May and July respectively.
That two-part split isn’t the bad news however, as in an open letter to fans Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers have also confirmed that the show’s fifth season will be its last – a not entirely surprising decision given the increasing age of the show’s cast. Fear not though, as it sure sounds like spinoffs are afoot. Check out the letter below along with the new poster…

New additions to the cast four season four include Robert Englund, Tom Wlaschiha, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Nikola Djuricko, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Joseph Quinn, Amybeth McNulty, Myles Truitt, Regina Ting Chen, and Grace Van Dien.
Stranger Things 4, Volume 1 will premiere on Netflix on May 27th, followed by Stranger Things 4, Volume 2 on July 1st.
