Gaspar Noe’s Lux Æterna gets a trailer, poster and images

April 30, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Gaspar Noe fans have a double dose to look forward to this May (if “look forward to” is the right expression)… Not only do we have the release of the dementia drama Vortex, but Arrow Video and Yelloe Veil Pictures are also bringing the controversial filmmaker’s 2019 experimental film Lux Æterna to UK and US audiences.

Described as Noe’s “ode to the suffering and sacrifices involved in the creation of art”, the film sees Charlotte Gainsbourg (Ismael’s Ghosts, Antichrist) and Béatrice Dalle (Betty Blue, Inside), playing themselves as the lead actress and director of an experimental film about witches. But as preparations for the shoot get underway, the increasingly chaotic production slowly unravels as egos and bitter resentments rise to the surface, threatening to derail the entire enterprise.

Check out the poster, trailer and official promotional images here…

Lux Æterna features a cast that includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, Beatrice Dalle, Abbey Lee, Karl Glusman, Claude-Emmanuelle Gajan-Maull, and Félix Maritaud.

Lux Æterna is set for release in May 2022.
