Hammer returns with poster for Doctor Jekyll starring Eddie Izzard

May 21, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Legendary British horror studio Hammer Films is gearing up for its return with the first project under the recently-launched Hammer Studios in Doctor Jekyll, a new spin on the classic Robert Louis Stevenson tale starring Eddie Izzard. Here’s a look at the sales poster, courtesy of Bloody Disgusting…

Based upon Stevenson’s iconic horror novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, the film sees Izzard as Dr. Nina Jekyll, a recluse who finds friendship with her newly hired help, Rob (Scott Chambers), who must work together to prevent Hyde from destroying her life.

Joe Stephenson (Chicken) is directing Doctor Jekyll from a script by Dan Kelly-Mulhern, with Guy de Beaujeu (Journey’s End) and Liam Coutts (The Good Drug) producing. It is currently being shopped for sales at Cannes.
