Sarah Silverman joins Bradley Cooper’s Maestro

June 6, 2022 by Ricky Church

As cameras continue rolling on Bradley Cooper’s next directorial film Maestro for Netflix, Deadline reports that comedian Sarah Silverman (Battle of the Sexes) has joined the Leonard Bernstein biopic.

She joins Cooper and Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Women) in the film. Cooper plays Bernstein while Mulligan will portray his wife Felica Montealegre. Silverman will portray Bernstein’s sister, Shirley Anne Bernstein, in the Netflix project.

Maestro will cover 30 years in the life of the legendary conductor, largely telling the complex story of the marriage between Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre. Also starring in the film is Succession star Jeremy Strong as American art critic John Gruen, as well as Matt Bomer (Magic Mike XXL) and Maya Hawke (Stranger Things).
