Neil Gaiman offers an inside look at The Sandman with new featurette

Netflix has released a new featurette for the upcoming comic book adaptation The Sandman which sees author Neil Gaiman explaining the story behind Dream and his siblings The Endless, immortal beings with god-like powers, and also includes interviews with Tom Sturridge (Dream), Jenna Coleman (Johanna Constantine), Gwendoline Christie (Lucifer Morningstar), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Death), and executive producer Allan Heinberg. The Sandman is a Netflix series based on the groundbreaking comic book series created for DC by Neil Gaiman. The series is Executive Produced by Neil Gaiman, Allan Heinberg, & David S. Goyer.

The series also stars Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) as Lucifer, Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Roderick Burgess, Boyd Holbrook (Narcos) as The Corinthian, Patton Oswalt (Happy!) as the voice of Matthew the Raven, Kirby Howell-Baptiste (The Good Place) as Death, Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) as Johanna Constantine, Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck) as Ethel Cripps, Mason Alexander Park (Cowboy Bebop) as Desire and David Thewlis (Harry Potter) as John Dee.

The Sandman will premiere on Netflix Friday, August 5th.
