Film and gaming fans have been waiting for the chance to see if Nintendo and Illumination’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie would live up the legacy of its iconic plumber, or plumb the same depths as the 1993 live-action film. 

Featuring the voices of Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike, you can ‘Press Start’ on the teaser trailer below, and be sure to check out our reaction video beneath…

From Nintendo and Illumination comes a new animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) and written by Matthew Fogel (Minions: The Rise of Gru).

The Super Mario Bros. Movie leaps into cinemas on April 7th, 2023.
